It is our hope that ‘Mother Nature’ will never prevent you from picking up your order or us from delivering your groceries in a timely manner. If there are going to be weather related delays or restrictions, your local Foodtown will contact customers who have already placed orders and make other suitable arrangements. In the same token, please let us know if you will be delayed in picking up your order or are not available at your scheduled delivery time.
Orders are processed via a secure Internet payment service. We currently accept debit and credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover and PayPal-depending on your store location) for online orders. You may also pay in person in-store via cash or check for pick up orders.
From time to time, routine store price changes may occur. We strive to keep our prices consistent with what you see online. Price changes will be applied to your order and the receipt that you are issued at the time of delivery or pick up and will reflect the actual in-store prices. Please keep in mind, our weekly specials run from Friday to Thursday. So for instance, if you order on Thursday for a Saturday delivery or pick up, you will receive the sale prices applicable to Saturday.
Canceling An Order
You can change, reschedule or cancel an order at any time before the order cut-off deadline indicated in your confirmation email. After the order cut-off, you will need to contact the store directly for any updates/changes. To avoid being charged for an order you wish to cancel, we must receive your cancellation before the deadline. Cancellation fees may apply.
Random Weight Pricing Policy
For produce and meat items that are priced by the pound, we will select the items that most closely match the weight you wish to purchase. Consequently, the total dollar amount of your order may vary slightly. Be assured you will only be charged for the product you actually receive. The estimated dollar amount is calculated within our provisional hold.
As soon as your order is complete, we charge your card for exactly what was fulfilled. Before your order is complete, it is possible to see a slightly higher hold on your electronic bank statement. This is called a provisional hold for things such as substitutions and weighed items that may be different from your original order.
What If The Product I Want Is Not Available?
You can add special instruction to items in your shopping cart by simply clicking the ‘Add Notes’ link below the product. During the checkout process you will also be given the opportunity to add notes to items or add any other special instructions or comments for your order in the ‘Add Notes’ field. Also, if you want to allow for substitutions on any products, you can do so by using the substitution drop-down box provided next to each item at checkout.
What If I Cannot Find What I Am Looking For?
Our online store is always growing. If you cannot find an item but you would like it added to your order, simply type your request in the ‘Add Notes’ field during the checkout process. If we have the product in stock, we will gladly add it to your order. This is also a great place to suggest items that you would like us to carry on the site and we will try our best to get it into our inventory.
Providing you with the FRESHEST quality products for your family is a primary goal! Your groceries will be meticulously selected and stored in the appropriate conditions until your groceries are picked up or delivered to you. If for any reason these items do not meet your expectations, please contact your store location immediately.

Our Customer’s Privacy
Our customers’ privacy is of the utmost importance to Foodtown. We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information about individual members (such as name, address, and email address) to third parties. During registration and checkout a user is required to give their contact information (such as name, phone number and email address). This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest and to get in touch with the user if we have trouble processing an order. We value our customers and we take their privacy concerns seriously.
We’ll gladly accept your manufacturer coupons for in-store pick up orders. Just bring them with you to the store when you pick up your order and we’ll take care of the rest! If your order is for delivery, some locations may allow you to give the driver your coupons and will credit you the amount of your coupons on your next order – please contact your store location for availability. Paper manufacturer coupons cannot be combined with any other offer.
