Summer Smoothies

Summer is a great time to incorporate fruit-based smoothies! They’re fun to make, nutritious and delicious!

Here’s my formula for the perfect smoothie!

Step 1: Pick your favorite summer fruit, veggie or both such as mango, pineapple, berries, kale and spinach.

Step 2: Use a lower calorie liquid such as Almond Breeze unsweetened almond milk, soy milk or fat free milk. I love using almond milk, it has a creamy texture that’s calcium enriched and dairy free.

Step 3: Add in a healthy fat or protein like Greek yogurt, peanut butter or avocado. This will give your smoothie a boost of nutrition and delicious creaminess that will help keep you satisfied for hours!

Step 4: Blend until smooth
